About the Artist
Molly Devlin is a contemporary surrealist painter, born in Philadelphia 1988, and raised in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. In 2009 Devlin relocated to Sacramento, California, where she spent the past decade expanding into various visual art mediums, ranging from intricately painted acrylic works, to large scale public murals and immersive art installations.
Devlin’s paintings are shrouded in a dream-like mystery, most recognized for translucent layers of organic matter; tangled leaves and fungi, overlapping to reveal surreal yet recognizable forms of the animal kingdom. Delicate and interconnected, her work articulates the magic, beauty, and resilience of the natural world.
